There are a lot of old churches in the downtown Chattanooga area. The featured image is of the Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church. This building was established in the year eighteen fifty three. During the civil war the building was used as a hospital by confederate and federal forces. Architect William Halsey designed this beautiful old brick sanctuary.
This church is listed in the nation wide registry of historical places. This core church is responsible for nine other Episcopal churches in Chattanooga Tennessee.
